Tektronix 545B Oscilloscope

The 545B scope

I gotten this one off a guy from aboucde. He delivered the scope a bit dusty and with a missing airfilter! Well i tought it would be a mess inside. But it belonged to TNO, its a testing laboratory for consumer products and safety. The scope was in MINT condition, everything worked perfectly. The inside was clean and well kept, the device was in good calibration. The plugin was getting some problems, one of the switches is a bit intermittent. And the channel 1 trace positioning has some problems. It works very well with the 1A1 of the other scope.

update: THE HORROR! This scope has problems with the dreaded transformer insulation decay problem. Well on the tekgroups there was somebody that could let new tranformers made at an transformer shop. He needed the specifications for these and he would inform on cost and use. Lets hope something will turn up. Then i will buy 2 or 3 for my 545B and 544 so and an spare if i ever come across another scope with the same problem, the 544 hasnt developed the problem, yet. So i will change it as an precaution.
