Projects
These are the projects I have made. Most of them are electronic in
nature but also contain articles and software. I like how software can
control hardware and it is my main drive for doing embedded systems
development. Unfortunately I do not have enough time to really document
my
projects. Most of them just contain some pictures and some additional
information. Where applicable I also give source code and hardware
designs. They are all without any warranty and fitness of use. USE AT
OWN RISK!
Electronics
Printed circuit board stuff
Here is my first try out
for a double sided board, the board
is one segment of a LED matrix controller.

RF
A cantenna to help a needy friend.
CC2500
breakout
board (06-12-2010)
IRwebcam
I got a second better web cam as a gift, what to do with the first? Modify it to see infra red.
Led flashlight
My dad's flashlight broke, and i gotten some high brightness 20000MCD
white leds. Better put them to good use in a led flashlight.
Tools
Sometimes you just need that specific signal at a certain frequency.
Well I made a function generator
based on the MAX038.
High resolution volt meter (in progress)
Automated tester (in progress)
High voltage
stepup converter based PSU
Tiny transformer based PSU
ATX powersupply modifications
(15-02-2011)
FPGA/CPLD development
Programmable logic is getting cheaper each year and more versatile. Why
not use them in my projects?
Xilinx FPGA programmer
XC2C64A devboards
XC9572XL QFP44 breakout
FPGA/CPLD projects
FPGA's and CPLD's are great chips, here are some projects i made with
them.

PCB direct exposure
(in progress) (02-01-2011)
8051 projects
8051 Harddisk interface
Atmel AVR Projects
I really like the AVR micro controller series, cheap and powerful.
AVR programmer
ATmega168 Mp3 player
AVR
mp3 player V2 (26-09-2010)
Mystery Mp3 player PCB
Missing out on a good
deal on led matrix
board, I have decided to make my
own. Its more scalable then the cheap board and its also the test
case for etching my own double sided boards.
AVR
breakout
boards (26-09-2010)
RGB led

Links
Interesting homepage's and links are added here.
Hackaday:
Lots of cool projects
and general articles.
Slashdot: News for nerds, stuff that
matters.
Circuitsonline: Forum for
dutch speaking electronics enthousiasts.
Chan's homepage: Great homepage. It
has a lot of easy to do projects.
Shops
These are links to some interesting shops, they are mostly based in the
netherlands but are in general more then willing to ship outside. I
have bought personally at these shops.
voti.nl: small webshop that have many
interesting things, more geared towards PIC projects, and robotic (good
selection of motors and driver chips).
futurlec: cheap webshop
with quite a assortment, 4 dollar delivery costs from thailand if you
order under 30 dollars.
sparkfun electronics: has a lot
of
speciality items and a wide assortment, but in my opinion a bit
expensive. Altough their breakout board are worth it. Easy to use and
high quality stuff. They recently reduced costs delivery to europe! So
they
are becoming more accessible.
Dick Best: is a dutch webshop for a
variety of components, big assortment and good pricing.
SMD shop: is a dutch webshop that
specialises in SMD/SMT devices, very good pricing and quick delivery.
Drill bit city: Cheap
and good PCB drill bits.
World of CNC: cheap CNC
supplies and components.
